How to install Terminology (A terminal emulator) in CentOS-6





Terminology 

is a terminal emulator like terminal. But it gives more enhancement over normal terminal task
*Like you can view images inside terminal and you can also view videos inside terminal
* You can also set video as your background.
* There are lot more option are available inside please go for manual.

1.For Installing terminology open the terminal and type.
  
 # wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/Enlightenment:/Factory/CentOS_CentOS-6/X11:Enlightenment:Factory.repo

2. Then copy that repo file to /etc/yum.repos.d/
 
# cp -av X11:Enlightenment:Factory.repo /etc/yum.repos.d/

3. After that update the repository.

# yum update

4. Install the terminology

# yum install terminology





5. Now let's see its uses.
 
List the content in terminal emulator

$ tyls -M


6. To see the image in terminology. Just click on image as shown after you run tyls -M command.

   
7. To see video click on video it supports mkv,flv,mp4,wmv  file format to automatically open in the terminal video player.
If it does not open on clicking the video then you can do this this . 

$ typop video.flv

  
It will open a  pop of video player .

8. There are lot more option you can tweak  with.

$  tycat image.jpg

 
9. You can run the video in terminology background and do your work .by doing this.

$ tybg video.flv  <---- whatever your video file name is. 

 That's it you can enjoy terminology .............
